Perhaps it stems from Apothek’s somewhat unlikely pairing; combining the freewheeling spontaneity of singer/songwriter Morten Myklebust with the more premeditative musings of producer Nils Martin Larsen. It’s a union of celebrated synthesis and one that straddles the divide between electronic and organic.
Releasing their standout debut EP in late 2013, tracks like ‘Emmanuel’ and ‘Smoke Filled Lungs’ instantly stole the attention of audiences and artists alike, through the sophisticated combination of seductive vocals and irresistible R&B timbre. After touring across America with Chvrches, and Phantogram, the band signed to Skrillex’s boutique label.
Brooklyn duo Beacon explore the dark side of sweet melody with a sound thats as seductive as it is subtly discomfiting. They fuse the deceptively sweet melodies of R&B with an intoxicating undercurrent of darkness, drawing on influence as disparate as Warps back catalogue and Underworld.

Chad Valley is Hugo Manuel from Oxford, UK. His music is big in sound and rich in construct. With one of the strongest voices in modern music, Chad Valley is an undeniable talent.
Com Truise is the nom de guerre of producer and designer Seth Haley, born-and-raised in upstate New York and currently working out of Los Angeles. His synth- and sci-fi-obsessed records are as infectious as they are expansive.
Dent May – self-described hotel bar lounge singer and aspiring daytime TV talk show host – has been charming his way into the hearts of music fans since the release of his debut album The Good Feeling Music of Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele on Animal Collective’s Paw Tracks label in 2009.
Overwhelmed by the speed his gift would take him, from Applebee’s server to “the new Neil Young” in a matter of months, he walked away from an unlikely major label deal after releasing two critically acclaimed albums. He slipped into a blur of booze and self-doubt. Exhausted and damaged at just 23-years-old, Dylan came home to Alabama to write a new life for himself..
Quebec-based duo Fjord are masters at creating lush, ambient pop, rich in both synthesized and recorded textures. “Shallow Waters”, their new EP (out January 25th) follows their career with 13+ million Spotify streams for their Top5 Songs only. Earning them nods from The FADER, HillyDilly, The405, Huffington Post and more catalyzing an extensive tour across Canada.
FROM INDIAN LAKES
California’s From Indian Lakes are thrilled to announce the new album Everything Feels Better Now. The brainchild of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joey Vannucchi, From Indian Lakes takes its name from Indian Lakes, CA, a small community outside of Yosemite National Park.
His recent return to Ninja Tune sees the release of his second full-length album, after his debut Ghosts of Then and Now. The second album moves further in the direction hinted by his 12” releases ‘Spectre Vex’ and ‘Second Sight’, both also on Ninja Tune, as well as more closely tied to his highly regarded mixes for fabriclive and Dekmantel.

I WILL, I SWEAR
This intriguing boy / girl duo operates from Gent, Belgium and they have just finished recording their first songs together. Delicate tunes drenched in gloom with vocals that will leave anyone silent.
Jacques Greene is the enigmatic, young artist who broke out of a generation of independent electronic labels Uno, 3024, Night Slugs and LuckyMe as a genre-defining producer and DJ (via 2011’s ’Another Girl’ – one of Pitchfork’s Songs of the Decade, 2013 favourite ’On Your Side’ ft. How To Dress Well and 2016’s club anthem ’You Can’t Deny’).
As half of Teengirl Fantasy, Logan Takahashi is best known for making glassy, expansive tracks. Like many classically trained musicians, Logan Takahashi didn’t take the techniques he learned at Oberlin Conservatory as gospel. He bent them until they broke, then reshaped rhythms, melodies, and timbres into an entirely new language.
Though her career has taken her around the world and her sound has undergone some metamorphoses, 2015 was an especially exciting year for Maïa. She released “The Tide EP” followed by her third full length album “You’re the Waves”. To top it all off, her name gained massive exposure when she was featured in a short film and ad campaign for Estrella Damm.
The character of the music of this german producer evolves from a multitude of intricate elements. These little bits and pieces might be of very different nature but together they complement each other and work in perfect harmony, creating a huge panorama.
Maps & Atlases
The title of Maps and Atlases’ new album, Lightlessness Is Nothing New, serves to foreshadow an emotionally and musically dynamic collection of songs that contemplates the jolt of loss and the strain of longing to music that, against our better judgment, makes us want to dance.
DJ and Producer Philippe “Chook” Schirrer and singer-songwriter Claudine Muno team up to create a music that’s both electronic and acoustic, equal parts analog and digital, where guitars and pianos meet samples and beats.
Moon King is the alias of producer, singer and songwriter Daniel Benjamin. Born in Toronto, the musician spent 2016 in Detroit, where the musically fertile and offbeat neighborhood of Hamtramck became both his home and the inspiration for a new set of recordings.

Without pretension, Stockholm’s Simon Stålhamre, the gentleman behind Small Feet, covers huge swaths of emotional and intellectual ground as casually as if he were strolling out for a smoke, journeying through a shapeshifting landscape of dreams towards what another Scandinavian, Prince Hamlet, called “the undiscovered country”.
Teengirl Fantasy, the duo of Logan Takahashi and Nick Weiss, return with ‘8AM’, their first full-length since 2012’s ‘Tracer’. It still pulses with the muscle memory of house and disco, slow-motion sub bass, chiming synth melodies, and the airy, perfumed chords of early techno, but takes a line of flight away from songs, immersing the listener in a gently invigorating space.
THE ATTIC SLEEPERS
‘Embers’, the new album from Ross Tones aka Throwing Snow, is a conceptually imaginative and musically atmospheric recording that draws stimulus from laws and patterns of the natural world. Excelling creatively from the freedom and restrictions of applying aspects of these elements, ‘Embers emerges vividly from the processes employed in its creation.
